World Bible School
Charlie Gibson is involved in this work:
Purpose of this Ministry:
Spread the word through a series of Bible Lessons. Lessons are sent to students in America, England, Philippines and several nations in Africa. Africa nations are the bulk of the lessons that are sent and are sent to Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi and Kenya.
What are the primary activities of this Ministry
Advertisements are placed in newspapers and on the Internet for free Bible lessons. We send Introductory Lessons and to the students. Upon return, these lessons are graded and a series of 10 lessons are started. Church workers address lessons, mail and receive lessons and return the graded lessons and the next lesson in the series to the student.
What Opportunities are there for others to be involved:
World Bible School meets Wednesday nights at 7:30 in the Atrium area. We need workers to address, grade sort and mail lessons to the students.
History:
This work was started in 1994. Since that time we have sent lessons all over the world.
We have blanketed Messena, New York and Maine in order to assist the missionaries in spreading the word in their communities. We also blanketed several thousand homes in Arlington approximately 10 years ago. We have between 5 and 10 workers most Wednesday nights. World Bible School has forwarded a DVD about the work that can be sent to you if you would like to use it.
